Well if they were mostly desiccated, I don’t know that freezing would necessarily stop them. And how would the original series even show that? They have no electricity throughout most of it. Maybe they find a tank of liquid nitrogen? Also carnivorousplant is probably right about the standard temperatures of morgue lockers (I have no idea personally).
It’s just speculation.
Except at that point we don’t know everyone is infected. When TWD group meets Jenner at the CDC, yes, everyone is infected - Jenner wanted the blood samples to confirm that, so maybe he wasn’t entirely sure. We don’t know how rapidly the initial infection occurred. I thought FTWD was supposed to be at the start of the zombie apocalypse, at the very beginning.
We don’t actually know if he turned or not.
Conveniently, TWD is set in Georgia, which seldom gets very cold. Even on the rare occasions it gets down to freezing it doesn’t stay there. IF freezing could stop a zombie the folks in TWD won’t know because their zombies aren’t subjected to a real winter.
FTWD takes place in LA - another place that tends to stay quite warm.
Would be interesting to know if the people up north get a couple months break from walkers in the winter.
Wikipedialink.
The first three deaths occurred in the abandoned church shooting gallery.
That’s impossible. Thousands of people die everyday in the US. Everyone in the world would know almost immediately about these zombies if every single one of those people reanimated and started eating people.
Which two did I miss?
Gloria/zombie killed at least two people. We didn’t see her kill them, but we did see the bodies. That’s why Johnny Derp did a runner in the first place; Zombia stopped eating victim 2 and went after him.
Oh yes. Thanks, Shakester.
I like that even smacked out, the kid had the sense to just run from his girlfriend/one-night-stand/whatever whereas his mother tried to talk down the principal zombie.
Nick the junkie has a long history of hauling ass when things go bad. I suspect he’ll be around for a long, long time.
His mom still has a nurturing nature. She just had to help the kid with the knife enter the school  , didn’t turn him over to the police , and tried to help Principle Big Ears. She doesn’t panic and realized that the improper use of a fire extinguisher can cause dain bramage.
Then when she gets back to her kids, she doesn’t tell them a thing about what happened. The show is already heading down that familiar TWD nonsense, where people just don’t tell other people what happens.
Just as an aside, it would be nice if somebody died and didn’t turn, implying that there’s some, small number of natural immunes. Such people might still be bite-vulnerable, however, as zombie saliva has got to have some nasty stuff in it.
I’m assuming that the writers don’t want characters to know too much at this point so the characters can innocently wander into dangerous situations. Keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats.
Or yelling at the TV.
“Why doesn’t she tell them what happened? Why is she not warning her own kids?”
Calm down honey, it’s just a TV show.
“Do the writers think we are morons?”
It’s the same people who make the Walking Dead.
“So this one is going to be just as stupid?”
Yes dear. Remember it’s like a comic book, it isn’t supposed to be real.
Fear the Walking Dead has a long way to go.

Plus 2 horses, 4 dogs, and 1 pig.
But FTWD has all of LA to feast on.
Sure, EMTs and hospitals would know because of normal deaths by accident or age but would the general public? The government knows, they are trying to hide it.
I still say at this point the characters should not know the zombies are dead, just crazed and sick.
Oh Hell, surely Sasha has more than that. The one angry effort with the sniper rifle must be a dozen. :dubious:
That’s people killed, not zombies.
Thanks.
