Update: suspect has been identified as a FedEx package handler.

So sad. This world is crazy.

It should be noted that the shooting took place in Kennesaw, GA - a town that mandates gun ownership. It took place at a gun-friendly company located in a state that just passed the most liberal gun-carry laws in the country. Yet not one single Amurcun NRA member stepped up to stop the guy. So much for the canard that guns will prevent violence and mass shootings.

And further noted that the location had a prominently displayed “No Guns” sign at the entrance. So yes, another shooting in a designated disarmament zone.

The town is noted for its unusual gun legislation. In 1982 the city passed an ordinance [Sec 34-21]

(a) In order to provide for the emergency management of the city, and further in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants, every head of household residing in the city limits is required to maintain a firearm, together with ammunition therefore.

That’s a little unfair on the United States Postal Service isn’t it? FedEx is an incorporated global courier delivery business. Perhaps it’s time to be a little more precise about America’s routine slaughters.

This is clearly a case of “going courier.”

ETA Apologies to Jim.

When you absolutely positively have to kill your boss before 10AM?

…too soon?

Sure. The town now has the lowest crime rate in its county. When it passed the law, its crime rates were way above national average. Now, at 1,961 per 100,000 they are way below the national average. Just a coincidence I am sure.
