FedEx

Part of what one of my “groups” at work do is work with R&D to abuse our cases (that hold everything we ship). We test extreme temperature change, abuse to wheels, beat them with metal poles and drop them from the upper deck to the ground. You can plan for all this and still get damage.
We’ve chalked it up to just the cost of doing business.

I don’t think so.

I mean I have neighbors here from the UK that are using it. They are the ones who told me about it.

Thanks, but I will just pick it up when I am in The Homeland.

$520 to Fed-Ex a package? Really? You do realize that you don’t have to accept the first price they give you, right? You can bargain with them…

Allow me to introduce this zany idea called “humor”.

It’s all the rage here on the Dope.

Lest anyone have taken me seriously, I am aware that Skype to Skype calls are still free. Honest.

I thought after I posted that I was being whooshed…Hee

About a year and a half ago I sent a package FedEx from Georgia to a good friend in Arizona. It contained gifts I had bought for her in Brazil. So basically, stuff I couldn’t replace.

I was really busy at the time and didn’t follow through on it, but I found out after the fact that it never arrived. And I had long since lost the paper that had the tracking number on it so I had no way of figuring out what happened.

:frowning:

A friend of mine who works at a government lab told me once that another department at his workplace needed to ship a specially equipped Humvee to Germany for some military research. Normally, the military ships that sort of stuff themselves, but with the Irag war they don’t have the resources. So, they called FedEx. FedEx showed up with a flatbed trailer and for 5 or 10 grand it absolutely, positively got there overnight.

The saga continues.

My brother got his refund. Of the $520, they refunded $120. I can see what they will say even before i call. $120 was the FedEx part. That they refunded. The rest is the Saudi Arabia part. That cannot be refunded.

I hate FedEx.
