Good friends I don’t see nearly as much as I’d like emailed to say they’ll be in town tomorrow night and invited me to dinner.
I scheduled lunch for me and a couple of pals next week. Anticipation is even better than the real thing sometimes.
I’ve been helping out a coworker fairly frequently lately, and now she’s going to buy me drinks tomorrow.
I’ve been feeling sorry for myself lately, for no good reason.
While I was at the gym this morning, I was blatantly, overtly flirted with by a very pretty woman. Everyone likes an ego boost, right?
“Hi, my name’s Jen, I see you here a lot, I know you’re married, and so am I and I’m a good wife, but if there ever comes a day when I want to be very very bad, I’m going to want you nearby, ok?”
My wife woke me up very creatively this morning.
Our newest cat made an extremely sweet and fluffy show of herself just by curling up in a little ball and falling sound asleep.
Today was a generally crappy day, so I ate a chocolate chip cookie with dinner.
Holy crap, I forgot how damn good something as simple as a cookie can taste. I also realize why I usually deprive myself of them; if I were to eat a cookie every time I wanted one, I would be…large.
But man, that was a good cookie.

My husband kissed me on the head before he left for work, even though he thought I was still sleeping.
Scouted out the location of a part-time English tutoring gig where I’ll start tomorrow, and found out it wasn’t half as bad a commute as I’d been led to believe. I’ll be making some good money there, too. 
Today was my day off and I stayed home and did absolutely nothing except play on the computer and watch some DVD’s. Nice to be lazy once in a while.
A man in his late 80s squeezed my hand and told me that I reminded him of his wife when she was young.
I caught a data design problem with a conversion we are about to do. It wouldn’t have been that big of a deal. But my boss was very thankful, If not a bit stunned that I had caught it.

I got out of work on time (first time this week) and made it to the gym!!
I reserved an aisle seat for my forthcoming plane flight to South Africa. :o
It’s 24 hours closer to Opening Day (MLB) than it was yesterday.
I got all my work turned in for my classes so now I can enjoy some spring vacation.
I had a great conversation with a beautiful woman at the Feast of Authors in downtown Toronto this evening. It made my day.
Today I don’t feel like the entry-level academic librarian job search is insurmountable.
Out of country best friends are visiting in under 6 days, for 10 days.
