Fekkin' Spiders!

They’re out of control this year. I’m pretty sure I either contributed to or started a thread with a similar theme last year, but this year they’re even worse. I leave work well after dark, and they’ve taken over the porch. I have to duck to get out the door and stay ducked to turn around and lock the deadbolt. Then I walk away and down the steps brushing the top of my head and kind of waving my arms around to make sure none landed on my head or webs following me.

Last night took the cake. I was entering the courtyard at home (20 minutes after the work-porch arm waving ritual) and the little lighting we have there just caught my eye on some webbing that was descending from a 30-foot high tree branch. And there was this HUGE spider, just hangin’ out on a web she had spun from that branch 30 feet above, and anchored to the sidewalk - 8 feet from the building. This fekkin’ web spanned 30 feet up, and 8 feet across the damn sidewalk!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I left the courtyard and went around to the other entrance to use the second sidewalk.

Here’s what you need.. Also great for starting barbecues.

Perfect! Now to figure out how not to light the whole porch on fire.

They’re even at the top of the stairs at home, in the far corners where I can’t reach them with the vacuum extended as far as it will go.
