It’s good to hear things are going well. I hope it all continues smoothly, and the new year brings health and joy!
I’m glad to hear it is going well, and she is feeling better. The treatment wasn’t so bad after all! Enjoy your New Year together!
PS. Is she getting tuna-flavored meds?
Thanks
She’s getting tuna-flavored liquids preds, daily.
Also chemo on an eight treatment cycle, 7-11 days between doses. She scanned clear going into dose #3.
Still clear going into dose #4. Gaining weight the entire time. She steals my V8 when she’s able.
Enjoy your time with her, just as much as she is enjoying her improvement, however long it may last (and may it be a long time)!
Update
We’re in month 7 of Chemo (since December 2010). She’s holding her weight, we’ve been using the Vincristamine/Cytoxan/Prednisone protocol the entire time, with Asparaginase (Elspar) in rescue mode.
A number of cats decline markedly near month 6 or so - we’re pushing for a year or so, but I’ll take more.
Glad things are going well! Sorry I missed this thread the first time around. Hugs for you and Dirty.
She drinks V8? She’s is sick!
Seriously, good luck with her. I’m glad she’s doing so well.
StG
One of my cats has lymphoma of the liver and intestines; I started a thread about it last spring just after she started a course of prednislone drops and chlorambucil pills. It’s been a year and a half since she began her treatment, and all her vets think she’s doing remarkably well. She has put on over two pounds and is no longer vomiting all the time (a hairball now and then, but nothing like the almost daily barf-up before she was diagnosed). She’s 16 now, and I’m hopeful she’ll see 17.
