Fellow hot weather-haters, show some love!

We’re not that hot right now, 22C, but humidity is 65%, and if there’s anything that sucks, it’s humidity. And that number is nothing to most people, but I already feel all hot and sticky, and I’m in an air-conditioned office.

I live in a place that goes from -30C to 30C. We whine about the cold in the winter and the heat in the summer. But it’s far easier to warm up in the winter than cool down in the summer.

I don’t know what y’all in the PNW are talking about - it’s been over 75 at least a few days in the last couple of months (in Bellevue here). One miserable day it was over 80. I know that doesn’t sound like much to people living in SoCal, TX or AZ but when you’re used to temps in the 40s and 50s… :frowning:

It’s 74 right now and it’s already too warm for me. It only gets worse from here! I think this year we need to set up a swamp cooler or something. Last year it was sleeping with ice packs in our pillows and damp washcloths when we were awake. We’d get a small portable A/C if we could afford it.

You should hear some of the reactions I get when I tell people from, say, Texas that even in July they really need to bring some layers, because at night it can get into the upper 40s, and whatever it gets down to at 3 AM, once the sun goes down the temps drop like a rock. Which I adore, but was quite a shock when I moved here. I was cold. But oh so happy.

Yep. It got to the mid 70s today. Soooo nice.
