'Fellowship of the Ring' soundtrack

I have been enjoying this soundtrack, which really moves me emotionally, especially the singing.

I decided to have a look at the lyrics contained in the CD whilst listening and now wonder about Edward Ross’ solo, ‘In Dreams’, during the track ‘The Breaking of the Fellowship’.

The printed lyrics include ‘But in dreams, I still hear your name…’
However I think he sings ‘But in dreams, I cannot hear your name…’

Am I right?

Gosh, I wonder if anyone else bought this CD… :frowning:

I bought this soundtrack. I love it. And “In Dreams” is my favorite song from the three movies. But I don’t know the answer to your question.

I hear it as “But in dream/I can hear your name/And in dream/We will meet again”

Admittedly his accent throws me off a bit at times, so I could be wrong, but I’ve never heard “cannot”. He just stretches “can” into “caa-aan”

I heard “can.” Definitely not “still,” definitely not “cannot.” But that’s just my ears, I guess.

Thanks to all for replying!

Luckily I understand his accent  so will have another listen.

Interestingly the song finishes with the phrase ‘… there and back again’, which is a homage to the Hobbit.
