I saw The Two Towers last night (and really liked it). I loved the music/song during the closing credits and assume it was by Enya. Can you tell me the title please?
Thanks.
Karl

Straight to Amazon, with a bank shot off of the IMDB.
The song she’s singing at the end is, I believe, also in FOTR, so it should be one of the ones listed here. I can’t get my work computer to play Real Media, so I can’t identify it for you.
The song is called Gollum’s Song, by Emiliana Torrini. Lyrics can be found here. Quite haunting and very, very sad.
BTW, Enya did perform the closing song to Fellowship, called May It Be.
Each of these artists and songs matches the tone of their respective films – Enya’s vocals and lyrics are warm and hopeful, as is the overall feeling of Fellowship, but Emiliana’s are stark and cold and match the darker feeling of Two Towers. Beautiful examples of good scoring.
(Wow, 33 posts since 12/2000, and all of a sudden 2 today… back into the shadows I go.)
The title is “In Dreams” and that’s a boy singing it. Don’t have the soundtrack, but just watched the Extended Edition DVD bit on the score…
D’oh! Don’t listen to me. I saw LOTR and was thinking Fellowship of the Ring. Sorry.
Thanks! I would have searched in futility.
