Female coming of age movie ID

I sometimes contemplate asking about this one when a movie ID question comes up. I saw part of it a few years back on MeTV or similar. Filmed probably in the 1980s, set earlier. Pair of early teen girls. Takes place in a city. Possibly a scene in a train or subway. One of the actresses, IIRC, went on to some minor but mostly past fame, but I forgot who it was. The one moment I really remember is the two girls lying outside talking and one mentioning how she wanted to meet some handsome man who wiuld take her and ravish her, and I thought about how “ravish” means “rape” and it isn’t likely a modern movie would contain a line like that.

(And now I’m waiting for most of the thread to be an irrelevant tangent on the definition of “ravish”.)

Maybe for some odd reason they didn’t mean the archaic definition.

rav·ish

/ˈraviSH/

verb

  1. ARCHAIC
seize and carry off (someone) by force.
“there is no assurance that her infant child will not be ravished from her breast”

  2. LITERARY
fill (someone) with intense delight; enrapture.
“ravished by a sunny afternoon, she had agreed without even thinking”

Times Square with Trini Alvarado perhaps?

Looks a lot more edgy than what I remember.

The World of Henry Orient by chance ? Peter Sellers plays the title character, but the story is really about the 2 pre-teen girls who become obsessed (stalk) with him. But it’s a bit older than 80’s.

For the “feel” of the movie and the age of the actresses, a while back someone mentioned Little Darlings with Tatum O’Neil in a thread and that sounded close enough that it might be it, but it wasn’t.

Maybe Old Enough? Takes place in New York City, a very young Alyssa Milano has a small part.

Two more longshots:

Rich in Love
That Night

Both 1992

Longer shot:

The Wild Life(1984)

You’d probably remember if it was Australian, so Puberty Blues is an unlikely option. Also, no recognisable names, but I submit it anyway.
