Female porn stars without makeup and with (SFW) - Kind of interesting

This is a standard click bait photo montage, but it’s actually kind of interesting the difference makeup can have.

Quite a few look better to me without the makeup, and several look awful either way. Anyway, I am not sure how much it proves. A photographer can make a good looking person look pretty bad (or, to some extent, vice-versa) just using (or misusing) photographic techniques.

29 look better without; 6 look better with; 5 either don’t look good either way or the makeup neither helps nor hurts their appearance.

Just about the opposite for me but to each his own.

The term “star” seems to have been diluted. Or maybe I haven’t been paying attention. Never heard of any of them.

I’ve got 27 better without (ignoring bad skin on a couple), 12 better with and one made no difference.

Opinions on this are gonna depend on how much you prefer a natural look, which I do.

There is also a big difference between what looks good on film and what looks good in person. I think most look better with the make up but my opinion would probably be reversed if I saw them in person.

The only conclusion I draw is that if you’ve had botched lip work done, you need lipstick to hide it.

Same here.

I think they slipped a few dudes in to test, though.

Plenty look fine without makeup, some look… less than “fine” and none of them had me thinking “Wow, that makeup ruins them”.

Of course, if I ran into them when buying groceries, they’d probably have a level of makeup on that fit between “none” and “porn star” so some of the skin blemishes, etc would be covered.

Talk about rode hard and put away wet.

I agree completely- it’s bizarre how this business takes perfectly attractive women and tries to remold them into some kind of uniform, standard look that actually makes them LESS appealing.

  1. The names. Dear kindly Jeebus, the names.

  2. What’s with the frequent eyes-closed pose? Turn-on for eyeshadow freaks?

It is perhaps the pinnacle case of conforming to a narrow set of marketing notions. Every woman in the game, and every production I’ve seen conforms to a rigid set of guidelines that makes old Harlequin Romances look freewheeling and spontaneous.

To see a woman’s bare foot, even in the middle of a gang-bang, is rare… because it’s a verity that spike heels make even a woman at the bottom of a dogpile sexier.

That sounds about right to me. Especially eye makeup – I thought most of the women looked more glamorous with eye makeup on, but women with lots of eye makeup in real life usually look creepy to me.

I was more taken at how some of these women get hired and “famous”. From what I’ve heard (such as I get my news from Buzzfeed and Daily Beast) you’ve got more young ladies entering porn than ever due to a combination of economic circumstances and less social pushback. Given that, I can’t believe there’s not more naturally attractive women out there versus “Hire that one who looks like a dude and slap a shiton of makeup on her”.

I’m only talking a percentage here; most of them are pleasant looking without makeup. The ones who aren’t though really aren’t.

Reading those names reminded me of a story about political PACs and how all the “good” names are already taken so you get increasing ridiculous names (“Restoring Liberty’s Freedom For America’s Future PAC”). Sorry miss but Cathy Chaos was taken in 2008. We can offer you Khathii Kaaoz?

Wow, i have no idea what you guys are seeing but every single one of those girls looked much much better with make up. For some it was night and day. Apparently make up can even fix some truly horrendous cosmetic surgery.

I don’t know really who looked better (ok some of them clearly looked better) but for the most part they all looked like completely different women made up and not.

Hmm…and I was surprised at how little difference it made to most of them. There were a few that were quite different before and after, but most were–to me–recognizable both before and after and I didn’t always think it was an obvious improvement.

Haven’t you just summed up pretty much the entire women’s fashion industry? Why look like a person when you can spend thousands cramming yourself into an impossible image of an airbrushed blow-up doll!

Some of them appear to be more a change of lighting than of make-up. The second one, for example, Elle Alexandra. Make-up might be changing her skin tones, but it’s not changing the color of the wall or fireplace behind her. The natural picture has warmer colors overall, while the made up ones are uniformly bluer.

And whence the heck comes the notion that freckles should be hidden? Freckles are cute! Hide the blemishes, of course, but freckles aren’t blemishes.
