This is a question regarding menstrual cycles and intercourse, so if you don’t have any input, or don’t feel like reading about such topics, stop reading right now.
That being said-My girlfriend just finished her period, or so she thought, and we had sex. She said that she had has no noticeable “flow” for at least 48 hours, but during sex, apparently we knocked something loose. We noticed light flow during sex. Is this common? It was not uncomfortable or in any way unconventional as far as lovemaking goes, but we are both curious as to why her period seems to have started again after so long.
Thanks for any input.
It has happened to me more than once. I don’t think something was “knocked loose” as I was confirmed by subsequent medical exams not related to the act in question.
LOL I didn’t mean it quite like that- I just wanted to know if it was a possibility that the sex could have inspired a-uhm-encore? I dunno, I’m a guy so I don’t exactly know how to explain it, I was just wondering if this was unusual because neither by SO nor myself know. But it’s nice to know that it isn’t that rare
Perhaps she orgasmed, triggering uterine contraction, “knocking loose” a clingy clot. If this were the case, her orgasming I mean, then your characterization of the sex y’all were having as being, “…not…in any way unconventional…” makes me quite jealous but happy for you both
Yeah, it happens. Not unusual. I always just figured it as a result of contractions and all the bumping and grinding.
Yep, it happens - can also start flow a day or so early, too.
It’s the uterine contractions, a result of orgasm. If this was entirely “conventional” and your girlfriend regularly has orgasms… well, you’re a lucky couple.
