It is a common bit of “accepted knowledge” by guys that girls who have a lot of sex tend to have a changed apperance in vulvas. I tend to disagree. I want to figure out the Straight dope on the subject. Obviously the basis for this idea is pretty easy to figure out. But one thing that I commonly hear is that girls with a large inner lips that sort of stick out past the outer lips have that because of frequent sex, or whatever. I tend to think that it is pretty much BS, but and most experience that I’ve had seems to disprove it. I have known girls with almost no inner labia who were pretty sexually active from a young age. But also, these girls didn’t like to have very vigourous sex. But one girl who I did know that did like pretty vigorous sex did have large inner labia. Also I noticed that she also had a pretty insensitive clitoris. With other girls it was pretty senstive, but with her it was fairly common for me to apply lots of pressure during oral sex in order to pleasure her.
One thing that I do know is that skin, does stretch, and once it does, it doesn’t stretch back. There are cells that come in and provide extra skin. They don’t go away, obviously.
So my question is this, does one’s sexual lifestyle affect their genitalia? For instance, if a girl likes hard sex, does that affect her clitoris sensitivity, or does it affect her vulva in general? One story that I’ve heard that it comes from having sex while not being wet enough…I don’t really buy that either.
Okay here’s the only TMI part…
One time, I accidentally made the mistake of choosing the wrong lubricant for sex… I had these two creams, or aftershave’s to be precise. I had bought one that didn’t contain alcohol before for uh… personal use. I accidentally bought the one WITH alcohol. Well, needless to say…it did some damage… But the funny thing was that she seemed to heal a lot faster than I did. I know, for instance that your mouth heals a lot faster than other parts of the body, and maybe this is because it is in moist, yet tender area. Could the female tender bits be the same?
That would seem to disprove the myth too…
Also, I have seen various plastic surgery websites (hey I was curious) and one of the procedures was to reduce the inner labia of certain females because it was large. One of them was a fifteen year-old and that would seem to suggest that it is just a natural state that never changes…
Again, I never thought this was true, but I just want to confirm. It seems founded on urban legend, but its something that gets repeated by so many guys as if it is fact. In fact, I think I am the first guy to reject the notion, that I know.
What do you guys think?
I’m a guy, btw.
