I upgraded to Win 10 from 8.1 overnight on my HP laptop and everything seems to be working fine. A minor thing is that now the Firefox title bar color will not change to match the others after I changed the setting in 10; it continues to be gray.
I Googled and found that there is an issue with this so I chose a site which supposedly has a fix, and tried it. Of course it didn’t work.
Rather than check other links I thought I’d ask here, where folks actually know something. Does anyone have a quick fix to this small problem? I can live with it if I have to, though.
Thanks for taking the time to read, even if you have no solution.
As far as I know, this is a bug that hasn’t been fixed yet. So your best bet is to use a theme. My dad has his titlebars set to a darker green, so he uses Dark Green by MaDonna. It’s not exactly the same color, but it matches well enough. You can search for more from that link, too.
There’s also an addon called “Hide Caption Bar Title Plus” that has an option to just pick any color for the titlebar theme. It comes with a bunch of other options you might want to shut off, though–in particular the one that changes the X in the corner to closing the tab instead of closing the entire window. It may also give you back the orange Firefox button by default–I can’t remember. Still, both options are easy to shut off.
Thanks very much for the info, BigT. I’ll check them out.
