Jeff Goldblum’s IMDB page lists his character as “New Jersey” only, FWIW.
Yeah, they referred to him as “Jersey” because he dressed like a cowboy. Oh, and he was from Jersey.
I’d forgotten that he was also Dr. Zweibel. His performance could bring you to tears.
