I have a Thneed, although I don’t think it’s made out of a real Truffula tree because I believe they are all extinct.

True story - after I used the word in a game of Boggle, one of my kids asked me what an anvil is. One of the others answered that it’s something that falls on the heads of cartoon characters.

When I was growing up one of the local supermarket chains was “Acme”, so I grew up with plenty of Acme products. No Anvils, Rocket Roller Skates, or Earthquake pills, though. I didn’t realize for a long time that it was all a joke.

They’re gone from my area, but still around
