I’m actually going to attend a figure 8 school bus race today at http://www.illianaspeedway.com. I’ve been wanting to go to one of these for a couple of years. Will report back on the mayhem.

They have a figure-8 track about 10 miles from my house. It is pretty hit or miss. I’ve been to them where there are a lot of crashes and a few turnovers, but a lot of the time they just stop for one another. Let me know what you think.
They are fantastic at Illiana. We were talking about going tonight ourselves, but got too lazy.
Lots of fun mayhem - last season featured a big, old Buick pulling a flat trailer, which had a giant, stuffed Foghorn Leghorn sitting at a fully set dinner table, going up against all sorts of old rolling iron. The bus flips are wonderful!
Ours always play nice for the first three races or so, and then on the last one after about 10 laps, it’s all out war. Never any human danger, but lots of pure demo action.
