No, they specifically said something like how she responded to the question about her race would be fine. And they’ve approved of several snarky putdowns that reverse this and attack Trump.
The person who talked about needing to get proof was @PhillyGuy. He frustrated me as well (and often does in these threads). But I kinda compromised with him saying that she should be prepared if she needs to deal with this, but that I think it is unlikely.
The level of animosity is weird, since nothing we say is going to in any way impact what Kamala does, and her campaign knows more about what to do than we do. @Loach had it right: we are inevitably in our own bubble to some degree. Even if I do follow MAGA Twitter a bit, that doesn’t mean it’s not spreading elsewhere.
(Though they are currently arguing that Haitians are killing people’s pet cats and ducks. And Trump and Republican congresspeople are going along with it. I’m more concerned that will come in the debate, myself.)
