The best way to kill Velios is with the summon Lich.
The battle on the roof is odd. I’ve found in such a situation that if you change something in your basic setup (character jobs, placement on the map, whatever) things that go wrong don’t for some reason. Hell if I can explain it.
Anyway, I can identify with you, I’ve found that playing the game after a certain point isn’t really compelling.
Well, try taking a break and coming back later. This game is really fun, your just at the most difficult part right now. You might try leveling up some more eventually.
BTW, what other games similar to this would you recommend? The only one I know of is Vandel Hearts. Or did you mean for systems other then the Playstation?
I’ve played the masterpieces known as Fallout 1 and 2 and I’m currently going through X-Com. Perhaps it’s time for me to get Jagged Alliance. I’ve heard some good things about it.
Well, I just decided I was done with FFTA after spending over 100 hours on it. I think that it is comparable to the PS version. There are many good improvements, and a few things that are missing.
I would say that I really like that spells now go as soon as you cast them, rather than having a charge time. I really disliked trying to cast meteor or bahamut in FFT, because by the time they went off, the fight was over, or nothing was in the area they were casting at. All of the abilities in FFTA can be learned through equipment (like FF9), so there isn’t anything like that Zodiac summon (AGH!). My complaint about FFTA is that it seems more like a childrens story than what I usually expect from a final fantasy game. That and the characters seem less customizable, and the level cap is 50, rather than 99, and there aren’t any cool legendary characters like T.G. Cid…
I would say that they are both good games, but if I had a gun to my head, I’d probably pick Tactics advance, just because I found it more fun to play…
That’s amazing. One of my biggest problems was that I would cast a spell, and the enemy would have its turn first. So it would walk right next to me, and I’d end up casting Flare on myself. FUN. Put me off of black mages altogether.
