Wasn’t there a subplot going on that Mr. Teeger may not be dead?
Or in an upset her daughter Julie (who’s at least 17 now because she got her driver’s license more than a season ago, so it’s almost legal if not quite).
I think he’s definitely dead, but he died with some kind of scandal over his head (cowardice or desertion or something like- I don’t remember exactly) that Natalie didn’t believe. I always assumed Monk would take on that case but they just kind of packed it up and left it in the closet for the last few seasons.
Tony Shaloub has stated that Monk will solve Trudy’s murder in the final episode, a two-parter.
No, Monk has visited Trudy’s parents at least once, they were different from Monk’s parents, and they obviously liked Monk, to the point of catering to his OC problems.
The final season? Aw, shucky darns.
They mentioned Ambrose in the season premiere, so I hope we see John Turturro one more time as well.
Pistols at dawn, Sir.
My favorite Sharona moment; the Mexico trip where a guy who swiped Monk’s luggage is killed wearing his clothes in a hit gone bad. The Mexican cops tell Sharona, “He crawled through the mud trying to get help.”
Sharona replies, “It’s not him! Adrian would die rather than crawl through mud!”
My Seconds shall call upon you in the morning.
How about brickbats at half a mile?
I almost gave up on Monk because of that. I chalked it up to Bitty Schram not leaving the show on good terms and the writers decided to give her character a somewhat embarrassing exit, salting the earth, so to speak.
My favorite Natalie moment: Natalie
Brickbats will be fine (I think. WTF is a brickbat??), but I’ll most likely be in my bunk.
I agree.
A device that is relatively harmless at half a mile.
Wait a minute, are you saying Natalie is a Sex Object and Sharona an intellectual?
Not at all. I’m saying Natalie is Traylor Howard and Sharona … isn’t.
Supposedly on this Friday’s episode there are some new clues given away to Trudy’s murder. I’m hoping this will sort of paint a clearer picture as to the whole case.
Well they definitely had Monk talking about it a lot but I didn’t notice any actual clues. Didn’t anyone catch anything?
Photos of the car burning tonight. :dubious:
I’ve always felt that her death was definitely tied into the explosion of her car.
Some actors are just so memorable as deranged or evil villains it takes practice to not see that character. After years I can look at Ted Levine and not think “It puts the lotion on its skin” (though it was harder in the episode when he joined the convent and shaved his moustach]), and because he’s played so many comedic characters since OZ (and is one of the most naturally funny actors working) I can watch JK Simmons without thinking biggest bastard in the universe Aryan Nations leader. I guess next up for redemption is Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (whose name I freely admit I had to copy/paste) who was so convincing as thoroughly evil Simon Adebisi on OZ that it’s almost hard to believe him as a decent person and grieving huband.
Sometimes you want to pat Monk on the back and sometimes you want to kick him in the nads (or worse, disguise yourself as a leper and kiss him on both cheeks) for being such a thoroughly selfish asshole. Scenes like last night when he’s making a cash poor immigrant pay 10 times more than necessary to wash his clothes are one of the kiss his cheeks time. (Yes, I know he’s OCD and can’t control the compulsions, but he can control the behavior to a degree, and certainly can control imposing it on others.) OTOH, it was touching that by the end he hugs Ansara’s husband [sorry, can’t remember Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s character’s name] without reservation and without asking for a wipe since he’s so bonded over the shared tragedy.
Both Jack Nicholson (AS GOOD AS IT GETS) and Leonardo DiCaprio (THE AVIATOR) said they developed some OCD habits while shooting their movies and actually had to work to use them. (Keep in mind that not only were Melvin Udall and Howard Hughes do repetetive compulsive behavior but that the actor on any big budget movies had to sometimes shoot scenes of them practicing repetetive compulsive behavior many times.) I wonder if Tony Shalhoub has to touch every antenna point in a parking lot by now or if he ever instinctively calls “Wipe!”.
I thought it was his car; an effort to kill him.
