Final Season of Monk on USA

That’s what he originally thought. There was an episode where he figured out Trudy was the target.

It’s never been made clear (because Monk himself doesn’t know) whether Trudy or Adrian was the intended victim. What we know about it is-

-It was a car bomb in a parking garage
-She was an investigative journalist (though her husband was an already famous detective and her father was a rich television executive, either of which might be important)
-The bomb was made by a six fingered man (now dead) but only as a contract job (he himself didn’t know her)
-Dale the Whale knows more than he’s telling
-She was on an errand for Ambrose
-Her last words were ‘bread and butter’ which Adrian took to mean “I love you/good luck while we’re separated” because she said it superstitiously when they were walking together and got separated (I’ve always felt this was a clue)
-Stottlemeyer was the first responder when she was killed (not sure if Randy worked for SFPD yet)

There’s more, but I’m trying to remember it. As I mentioned above I think the fact that they’re tearing down the parking garage is significant; I expect them to find something while they’re in the process (else why bring it up?). I expect that now Dale the Whale is stripped of his privileges and more or less in gen-pop (he may still have his XL private cell but he has to take meals in the prison dining room) he’ll probably offer some info to get some of his luxuries back or to save his own life from other prisoners. (So far he’s been played by three different actors- Adam Arkin, Tim Curry, and [the far less famous] Ray Porter, all in massive latex makeup, so it’d also be a great guest star opp.)

Thanks for the update. I’ve missed more than I thought.

And yet you can remember “Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.”

No, but I can copy and paste like nobody’s business.

His character was named Samuel, incidentally.

I did remember Ansara (which means sunflower who married Barbara Eden) but Samuel- nope.

I would drive him insane … my clothing except for my bras are so well washed we toss everything in together and wash on cold. Everything gets tossed in teh dryer and spun until it is dry. It finally gets separated out when we put it away =)

One season foe officer Leland to say" it puts the lotion in the basket’ .

“It puts the lotion on it’s skin,
or it gets the hose again.”

They could at least show him with a moth or night vision goggles.

I can hear Randi suggesting that a suspect’s motive is “he’s making himself a woman suit!”, with Leland staring and saying “That’s just crazy”. Or he could get amnesia and when somebody mentions his ex-wife ask “Was she a great big fat girl?”

I liked last Friday’s episode a lot. I thought it was a great “gowning” episode for Monk. The fact that he was able to hug the foreign man at the end and also reach in to his back pocket, seemed like he was growing a bit there.

Tonight’s episode should be good. In the commercial I saw it’s got Monk dealing with UFO’s. Should be a funny one.

I would love if they would do a “trudy’s murder clues” marathon before they show the final episode!

I wonder if the writers have planned the solution, or if it will be done a’la Battlestar Galactica.

Not exactly a subtle SLEEP INN placement was it?

I stopped watching the show with regularity when it turned from a show about a Detective with quirks to a show about a man with quirks who, oh yes, also solves mysteries.

I loved that UFO episode! Very funny, Daniel Stern was brilliant, and a lovely cameo of the Vasquez Rocks.

Excellent stuff.

That would just be every season finale.

Trudy was killed because she was a Cylon?

I enjoyed the episode, but the plot was basically the same as the first season one with the psychic: Guy kills girl in fake accident. Girl ends up in a place where no one would find her. Guy creates an outlandish situation so someone finds her.
