That’s right. The raiders are having their game televised. Now, this might not be important to all you people, but to us in the Bay Area, it is the first time in 3 YEARS that this has happened. The last time a home game was televised was September 8th 1997. Since then 24 consecutive blackouts have occured.
Finally, I can watch a Raiders home game here in the city.
Also, cementing the fact that he is the most entertaining coach in the NFL Gruden said this about the fact.
In most cities I lived in, a game was blacked out when the stadium didn’t sell out. So couldn’t you have just gone to a home game? There were obviously seats available.
Well, (lack of) money not constraining me, I have been to quite a few home games. It’ll be nice to have a proper football sunday though. Relaxing at home with good beer and sausages. Watching the raiders kick some pansy Colorado ass.
Hate to disapppoint you oldscratch, but the Raiders are overdue for their habitual ritual of shooting themselves in the foot. Im picking Denver. FTR, Im going to that games with my brothers (three of them are Raider fans, with us other two being Niner fans)
It’s true to an extant. I’m just displaying wishfull thinking that this year they can finally fire on all cylinders. I think they just might pull it off. And how come you aren’t coming to the dopefests stuffinb?

The first one I heard about was a couple of weeks ago, and I had to go to Memphis on business. Im the marketing director/contract administrator where I work so I have to put out a lot of fires so to speak, and attend various functions.
I really want to attend one and get to me you guys, so the next time I see one coming up, Ill get my assistant to cover me, but I’d need at least a weeks warning.
Oh yeah the other problem was I hung out in GD for my first couple of months and didn’t check out IMHO and MPSIMS until a couple of months ago. /end hijack
BTW, Im not really rooting for the Raiders to lose, but I have to keep in practice, so I can make fun of my bros.
Too bad the Raiders are going to lose to the Broncos. I’m sorry, but last week’s win was more of a fluke than anything, the Colts made some serious mistakes.
Go BRONCOS!
You’re right. A west african plague, and a small (large) cash donation to the officiating referees. Then the niner’s will have victory.
To quote T.V critic Tim Goodman, while speaking of survivor reruns “As strange and potentially disgusting as it seems, there’s a part of us that wants to relive the whole thing all over again. It’s that same part that makes us watch the Niners every Sunday.”
And how come you aren’t coming to the dopefest?
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach John McKay is the king of NFL coaches when it comes to quotes. When asked about his 0-13 team’s on-field execution, he said, “I’m in favor of it.”

During the same year (1976), responding to a question about his team’s poor performance at home, McKay said, “We haven’t won a game at home. We haven’t won a game away. I am petitioning the League to have our games played at a neutral site.”
