As a shorter fellow (5’ 8",) basketball has never been my strong sport. Recently we purchased an adjustable basketball hoop for the kids to play with in the driveway. In an astonishing revelation, I found that I can do really well on the lowest height (7’, I believe.) What a difference! Now I know what it feels like to be 6’ 5"! I can even dunk, which is truly a great feeling.
Just wait until you get a game going with the kids and suddenly you’re soaring above the rim blocking shots. No greater feeling than goaltending the shit out of a shot on a 7 foot rim.
Better than swatting a 7-year-old is when that same seven-year-old drives the lane, you plant, and he bounces right off you.
