Isn’t FMI cool? We’ve all read or seen stories where a victim of theft becomes intrepid hero by tracking their stolen baby.
ABC set out Ipads as TSA bait, and it worked beautifully.
Then again, there are some accuracy problems…
I can talk to my wife or kids and know their exact location, yet FMI can show them pinpointed a mile or more away. Not a center spot with a shaded circle of possibility, but a singular incorrect point.
Which brings us to my question. Have any Dopers encountered this problem like I have, and more importantly, have you found a solution?
As usual, the Mac forums and others have ideas galore, but I have yet to actually find the answer. Many point to a software issue, but I can’t chase them all down.
