Finders Keepers

Well that was a lot of fun.

Stephen King somehow keeps churning out these crackling good novels, and this one is another winner IMHO. Despite coincidences that more than strain belief, rehashed plots from earlier books, and a few annoying character mannerisms, the latest detective story is a page-turner that kept me up reading much later than I should. The book was just darn hard to put down! As with the first volume of the trilogy, Mr. Mercedes, the last half of Finders Keepers barrels along like a thrill ride. Third summer in a row with a great King read.

Four Stars

Anybody else enjoying this?

Just picked up. Thanks for the recommendation.

Just finished it on audiobook. I thought it was the best Stephen King novel in a long time. Much better than the first in the series (which was decent). I just felt so scared for for the kid- the most tense parts I was white-knuckling it as I was driving down the freeway.

And the end… can’t wait for the next one. At least it seemed obvious there would be one.

I worry for the safety of several of the characters in the final book of this trilogy.

I opened this thread thinking it would be a bout of nostalgia over old Nickelodeon game shows.

I have no idea why.

No, that’s a lie, I do.

I liked the first one better I have to say. I’m slogging through this one. I just didn’t like the way it was laid out.

I am really looking forward to the next one. (we don’t have enough smileys. I need that devil’s head one) cue evil laugh.
