I picture her an Irish Tasha, younger, and with a better sense of fun, but with all the skills her station requires. I like to think she could take Tasha in a fight

I’ve emailed carnivorousplant. And What Exit?, if you want to run a draft of your writing submissions by me via email, feel free. Don’t hold yourself back from taking part just because your Trekitude may be slightly dated - I think the story (at least so far) doesn’t depend upon encylopedic knowledge of the ST:TNG era.
I’m sure you could still contribute something by perusing TNG Wiki articles. That’s what I did.
I’m surprised, after all the interest, there are only 4 or 5 of us writing stuff for the story, and I don’t like going twice because part of the fun is seeing what someone else has in mind (as long as it doesn’t violate the character)

The primary hull of a Nebula-class starship is very similar to that of a Galaxy-class ship such as the Enterprise-D. So I’d say, sure, go ahead and create a Ten Forward.
