It was actually mine, but it wasn’t an accusation so much as a slightly amused observation.
It’s my genuine belief that he is not trolling, if that’s what you’re inferring. I’ve known him for about a year elsewhere online, and his style is genuinely his. It’s not for your benefit or mine, and he never seeks to harm anyone or get a reaction. He’s having fun. His style is not particularly easy to mesh in to the general SDMB style, but I think he deserves a chance.

I wouldn’t say otherwise. I just assumed his posting style was whatever style he used and that it was just naturally grating. I suppose the difference hangs on whether or not he’s ‘playing’ people. If he’s just being himself, and people are wigging out, no harm no foul.
As an addendum, we should probably drop this conversation. I’m certainly not accusing him of trolling, and it’s pretty clear that you didn’t mean to, either. Let’s not give the mods any hassles.
