So I made some fire cider by soaking ginger, onion, jalapeno, lemon juice, paprika and a little garlic in apple cider vinegar for a month. I just decanted and now have those ingredients in a bowl. Any recommendations for what to do with pickled onion, ginger, and jalapeno? I’m thinking of stir frying them and serving with ramen.
Pressure-cook a couple of large rutabagas, mash them up with black pepper and a bit of salt, then use your fire cider byproducts as garnishes / stir-ins. Include some of the vinegar itself, too.
Someone else who likes rutabagas? I may make this just to try that recipe.
well that will numb your tastebuds so you don’t have to taste the rutabaga
Not a fan of rutabagas, so I’ve been using the onion and jalapenos on chili cheese dogs. The ginger may go in Thai or Indian food. The cider itself is potent but good for sipping.
