My MIL and FIL used to live there. Until a few hours ago. So far as we can get, no one was hurt and about 600 folks where evacuated.

Holy Fuck. It seems that everyone got out. But this is not news?

I’ve seen some pictures, and as far as I can tell a HUGE building full of the elderly just got put on the street, lucky to be alive.

It’s a non story with the news, but I ask for others to do their google foo. And any PA people check in too. I can’t find anything about it. All I can get from links to Pittsburgh is the fucking Stealers game.

Christ, my MIL and FIL just lost every thing that had.

My wifes folks are Ok. Everythibg they ever kept is gone, but they are alive.

My brother and sister in law are with them now.

I quick check of fire sites shows nada. Glad your family is OK.

Thanks… Looks like at least 115 units are gone. Looks like a LOT more to me from what I know of the building/s, and the little info I have.

And since this is not the Pit… I can only say a gigantic F you to the news media that believes that the football game is more important than the destruction of a HUGE retirement community.

Hundreds of people where displaced tonight because of a fire. The average age is in the 80’s. Yet Pittsburgh news does not cover it. I can get the football score though.

My MIL and FIL are OK. Though they have likely lost every possession.

Not sure. It’s a mess. I do know that the Steelers lost though, not that I give a damn.
