Okay, this is driving me up the effing wall!

So my firefox appears to be broken. Somehow, somewhere I did something that made it mad, so now it makes me login to Facebook and the SDMB, even though I am pretty sure I have it set to remember cookies. I do remember once having it set to ask me every time I closed Firefox if I wanted to clear private data. I’d normally click “no.” So now here’s my settings in the “Privacy” area of preferences:

under History, everything is checked
under cookies, everything is checked
under Private data
Always clear my private data when I close Firefox (not checked)
Ask me before clearing private data (checked)

Under Security:
Remember Passwords for sites (checked)
So I feel like I am doing everything right from that end. I am guessing it’s something in my about:config that is messed up. Does anyone here know anything about where I should look there? I’d rather not have to erase everything to get it working right. BTW I’m using Firefox 3.

For the field that says keep cookies until, what do you have selected?

Just to be clear: do you mean that it logs you out after a short period of time, or that it simply doesn’t remember the password for you?

Check that both websites are not entered under “Exceptions” in both the security and privacy/cookies sections.
