Firefox question

I should probably be able to figure this out, but I haven’t had any success so far, so I’m turning to the ultimate source of wisdom, the Dopers.

I used to be able to go to the top or bottom of the current page by pressing “Home” or “End” in the browser. Since I upgraded to Firefox 1.5.0.6 I have to press “Ctrl/Home” or “Ctrl/End” to do the same thing.

This is only on my home computer, it doesn’t do this at work. I’m sure there is some setting that I’ve overlooked, but I can’t find it.

Has anyone else experienced the same thing, or know how to change it?

Thanks,
FBG

I have that same verison and just tried it, home and end work as you say without the ctrl key. Actually I never used that feature ever before, and after this thread most likely never will again - YMMV.

Do you have a flashing text edit bar that appears when you use the arrow keys? If so, you probably turned on caret browsing. Push F7 to toggle it, does that work?
