This line in particular makes the whole thing sound like a really poorly written TV show plot.
Yeah, that line caught me eye as well. Or, actually my ear. It sounds contrived.
I far as I know I don’t know the managers daughter. But on the other hand neither the manager or her daughter was present.
I do have the receipt. Maybe I will fill out the survey. What if I get a free sub for filling out the survey?![]()
You don’t have to redeem the coupon.
I do not want to go back there as I have lost my taste preference for their food. And I would not be trusting enough to eat eat. As I said ‘ my last time’, there are other fast food places and others that are new to me. So maybe I will find something better in the end.
Oh, look! The OP returns.
So you’re not interested in finding out what happened, in which case we’re left to draw our own conclusion as to why you went into such detail about it in the first place.
I stand corrected! ![]()
A few quick notes- I do not want a free sandwich- I didn’t eat the one I paid for.
As far a the manager or managers daughter I do not know if they were involved as I never saw either of them.
I do not know what offense that I was accused of because no one would say. I was interested as if I was rude or offensive to someone them I should be called out on it. And hope fully do some introspection on my behavior.
As far as I know just one employee accused me of something then told the others. Maybe he didn’t even tell them the story and just said I did something to someone at sometime.
This was not my first time there. I was there about two weeks ago. Then probably two weeks before. then a month before that…for several years.I do not know if the same employees were working then. I will ashamedly say that I do not pay attention to staff at fast food places as if seems there is heavy turnover and I never see the same people from one visit to the other.
One of the reason for posting was to get feedback as I have had bad service at food places. For two weeks in the 80s I was one of those people who probably messed up your order. If you went to a Burger King in Daytona Beach around that time it was probably me. This post was for what has others done in similar situations.
I have tired reaching corporate by email and phone call. Emails get bounced back, calls by phone get a busy signal throughout the day. I don’t think I will be able to contact them.
As far as the conclusion to never visit any other location, that was extreme on my part and was hastily said. No other employee or manager at another location has ever given me this kind of service so I should not judge them for something they did not have any part of.
I was hungry, it was late in the day, I was lazy and did not want to stop at the grocery store and cook something myself. Today I came home and cooked my diner. No problems.
“…but what am I?”
“The manager’s daughter is right behind me, isn’t she?”
Firehouse Subs, you’ve got a lovely daughter
Girls as mean as her are somethin’ rare
But it’s sad, they don’t love me now
They’ve made it clear enough, it ain’t no good to pine
After lengthy review of the thread, with cross references and annotations of allegations and logical conclusions here is my verdict.
Incident happened just as @ric62 described. However the facts as stated by the employee telling him to leave are a fabrication. This is the work of bored fast food restaurant employees, the first one who said someone else will take his order, substantiated by Google Map reviews for this location, and secondly the deliverer of his food. Do not underestimate the behavior of bored underpaid people. I do not believe that this reflects on Firehouse Subs, other than the manager or franchisee holding employees accountable for their behavior.
The best course of action would for @ric62 to call back and ask to speak to a manager and if not, inquire as to when they would be in the store, and relay the interaction directly to them.
