The first record album I ever bought was… ahhh, hell I sure can’t remember. A reasonable guess would be either REO Speedwagon’s You Can Tune A Piano But You Can’t Tune A Fish, or one of Ozzy’s first solo records ( with Randy Rhoads! Yeah! ) Blizzard Of Oz, or Diary Of A Madman.
The first album I bought with my own money was REO Speedwagon’s High Infidelity.
The Star Wars (Orchestra) Soundtrack (back before it was called Episode 4: A New Hope).
The Cure - Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me
I bought the cassette with money from my 10th birthday. I remember that it was really expensive because it was a double album (18 tracks).
The first non-compilation album I remember buying was most likely So by Peter Gabriel… I think.
I’m not quite certain, but it was either Queen’s The Game, or the soundtrack to Xanadu.
Disraeli Gears by Cream. Wish I still had it.
Did you have the album on record, cassette or 8track?
have you ever thought about getting it on cd?
LP record - cassettes hadn’t been invented yet when I bought it!
No, I never have but now I will. I haven’t listened to any Cream for donkeys’ years.
