First day revenue?

So, can you describe “very happy” for us? Are you doing a happy jig ala Snoopy?

Personally, I’d love for us to hit the “delirious” level just to see what that would mean.

3500 should be a snap, what with all of those tax refunds rolling in any day now.

I still think we should have gone with an affinity program. What’s to stop us from adding it along with subs? The idea was briefly floated here.

Just wondering as I plunked down $500 at Amazon today on tools. Even if Amazon gives only 1%, that still would have been as much as a first year membership as a charter member.

3,503 subscribers as of 4/21/04 at 8:15 a.m. CDT. I’m delirious. (It’s not pretty.) Shall we try for completely comatose?

Seriously, we’re delighted at the response. As mentioned earlier, we had 7,000 current users prior to the announcement (i.e., registrants who had posted within the past 30 days). Thirty-five hundred subscribers means we had a conversion rate of 50%, which is the upper limit of what we (well, I) thought was realistically possible. I can’t speak for Reader management but I think it’s safe to say the SDMB will be around for quite a while.

Awesome.

Yay, finally got some interesting data to plot. Here’s the updated chart. Those of you clever enough to look at the URL patterns can probably figure out the link to an intermediate chart.

I think the $5 price tag was a REALLY good idea. Made it pocket change for most folks, rather than a big deal. And I’m not saying that just because that’s how much I charge for access to my site … I really mean it!
