That’s “Elves, Leprechauns, Gnomes and Little Men’s Chowder and Marching Society” for those of you not in the know.

For thoes in the know: Resolved: Calvin and Hobbes was excellent, Little Nemo in Slumberland was fantastic but Barnaby ruled! I find that Johnson’s artwork, complex storylines and bone-dry sense of humor make him one of the most underappreciated cartoonists ever.

Hey, this is news to me. After looking at the link, I’m wondering where I can get my hands on some of these strips. Any ideas Fenris?

Yup. In the mid-'80s Ballantine/Del Rey published 6 paperback reprints of most of the early years of the strip. That site I linked to has some info on the Del Rey editions, and I’ll bet you can find some at http://www.bookfinder.com…

Thanks Fenris. Right now, what with Christmas bills I can only afford new books. And that’s 'cause I got gift certificates to book stores. But once I’m through with that I’ll pick up a couple of the Barnaby books.
