I imagine parents will be less alarmed when somebody figures out how to make a game that can do these kinds of things without the shooting. But meanwhile, it’s funny.
They specifically compared a fast moving shooter game to Tetris in their studies. I have to wonder if a game like, say, the Mario games on the Nintendo platforms or the Crash games on the PS platforms wouldn’t have the same effect?
I can understand why Tetris would be different. Doesn’t strike me as very fast-moving, either. But I bet somebody could whip up a game for kids where you have to identify things very quickly - without necessarily having to blow them to bits.
