Well, First Wave goes off the air next week, far too early in my opinion. Yes, Lexx gets a forth season but First Wave can’t be renewed for more than three.
I really like this show. I believe it has been highly underated(both criticaly and literaly) and was really let down when I heard it was cancelled. Not only that, but it turns out that the show didn’t know whether or not this finale was their final episode, so they didn’t resolve everything perfectly. No, they didn’t leave a cliffhanger in order to pursuade the network to renew them, but they wanted to leave room for a forth season just in case.
Every single member of the cast(Sebastian Spence, Rob Labelle, Roger Cross, Traci Lords) said that they really wanted to come back for more First Wave. I mean, these people were dedicated. Couldn’ they have at least made a TV movie to wrap the whole thing up?
Well, I was just wondering if anyone else is going to watch the Final Episode(Saturday at 8:00). Was I the only fan of this show around here? Did anyone else follow Cade Foster on his adventures?
Just curious. Wave On.
Is it too late to get hooked on this show?
I watched an episode WAY back, which I liked pretty well. But I was diverted and kept on forgetting to keep on watching. But tonight for some reason, I watched “The First Wave”. Even though I was pretty lost, I enjoyed it. I regret not watching more of this series when I had the chance. And next week is the last episode? And they are not going to be able conclude the series and tie things up neatly? Bummer, man.
(But I’ll try to make sure to watch next week’s episode, too.)
You shouldn’t have any trouble tuning in next week. Basicaly, they are fighting the Gua, especialy a leader called Mabus. Mabus was in Jordan’s body, but you saw them get him out. The second wave is about 2 days away(in their time). They are going to mount a massive attack next week, making it their final stand. Oh, we also get to find out why Cade Foster is called “The Twice Bless’d Man”. It has been the main mystery throughout the whole show.
The Final Episode is entitled “Twice Bless’d” and is written by the creator of the show. It’s sort of a goodbye to the fans and the show just in case it didn’t get renewed.
