Not sure if anyone still watches but it looks like they are marathoning the entire final season this weekend with strips of episodes Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
No, they are marathoning the entire third season, there is still a fourth one coming next year.
Oops. The episode description of the finale sounded like a series finale to me added to the fact that they were burning off the entire season in three days made me make an assumption. Thanks for the correction.
No problem, I am just very happy we are getting a real ending to this great show!
Watching the first episode now. Man, this is one of TV’s most underrated and underappreciated shows.
It’s in my first or second tier of TV viewing for sure. Great, great show.
Yeah, the first episode was great. I loved the 99 luftballoons scene specially.
I was confused at first. I thought they were doing a repeat of last season. Nope. They are doing the entire new season in 3 days. Not sure why. Just thought I’d mention it, in case anyone else didn’t realize either.
It feels like they are burning it off, but they also announced a fourth and final season for next year. Who knows?
I don’t know why either, but when they announced they were renewing for seasons 3 and 4 (with 4 for sure being the last season) several months ago they already knew they’d release season 3 over a weekend like this because it was part of the article I’d read. Super weird, but at least we know there’s a 4th and final season still coming.
I haven’t even finished the 3rd season yet(it’s awesome!), but they have just released a trailer for the fourth and final season. When the heck did they film this thing? They should just release it in the Fall if it is in the can.
I have not yet watched this since I have 3-4 episodes to go in S3.
I binged it over the weekend and monday, it was great and I can’t wait for the fourth and last season. They obviously have at least some of it done already, maybe season 3 was meant to be longer before they settled on 10 episodes? It did end at a clear season ending plot point though.
I think I’ve got two episodes left to go. I’ll just say crap, Ramses. And other stuff.
I guess some of it was pretty well hinted at last season. It’s been an interesting ride though.
1st season i liked
2nd season on, i didnt like the writing or story lines
3rd season has been a lot better. You should check it out.
Finally finished this. This season was really entertaining. The writers and actors seemed to be having a lot of fun with the concepts of the show. The Heist episode was especially good.
Agreed on all points. Loved that James Callis was the Witness. Great fun.
What did The Witness … witness? Why was he called that? He certainly was built up as genuinely central to the whole sordid business, but, in the end, he didn’t have much of a place or role. Very underwhelming, really.
I could just be making this up but I thought the name came from an earlier season where he/she/it was supposed to be the Witness to the end of time? Maybe?
Because he wasn’t the Witness, Olivia was the Witness the whole time. The name comes from having witnessed all of history.
Perhaps I am wrong, but I certainly had the impression that the Witness built Titan, originated the whole idea of starting a world-wide plague, originated the idea behind ending time, and invented the whole cult which recruited and generally acted on behalf of the effort to end time. The Witness was meant to be, you know, a central figure.
But, we’re left with a Witness who, at best, was reluctantly being tempted to the “dark side”. He was certainly not a zealot or even a powerful member of their team.
If the Witness was someone else the whole time, Jennifer didn’t know? The guy who we all thought was the Witness, but who wasn’t, but who was a Primary… He didn’t know the truth either?
If the Witness didn’t dream up all of the end of the world scenarios and so forth (no matter which person The Witness turns out to be), then who did? What was their inspiration? How did they know whom they were serving? It’s all very strange.
