Five-Strike Hangman

I like a D for the end of that word starting with RE…

Thank you.

Maybe I am too bold, but we need more vowels.

I guess I (which is the capital of the lower case i).

ETA: Things move faster when there are more players, don’t they?

I predict an A for the three letter word starting with H.

Does that count as a guess?

Yes, two guess, D and A. Do we have to wait for the game master between guesses? If so, my D, then your i then my A, but maybe we should wait after the D to resubmit guesses?

There is not rule about it. I think more guesses allows for a faster pace.
I simply wanted to make sure that you have submitted two letters.

Therefore, right now there are two letters (D and A) from you, and one (i.e. I) from me.

I guess the problem with too many guesses is that we could hang the guy. Plus, we’re missing out on new information that would be helpful between guesses.

Yes, and good players can easily see this and regulate their guesses.
Right now I don’t think it is a problem.
The game will find its pace in time, I guess.

I’d like to guess an “F” please.

Guesses: D A I F

I / H A D / R E ___ ___ H E D / T H E / A ___ E / ___ F / ___ I ___ / H ___ ___ D R E D / A ___ D / F I F T ___ / ___ I ___ E ___ .

I suppose I should mention that I am still in Beijing, China. That means I will problaby be hitting the hay shortly and won’t see the next few guesses until tomorrow morning my time.

If there are other guesses, I won’t combine them into one reply as I did for this one. What I will do is put each guess with its result in a paragraph by itself and if that guess is the one that solves the puzzle, then I’ll stop there of course.

You’ll make the decisions that you find appropriate, or course, because you’re in control.

I would like to guess N.

I’d like to guess an N.

Did you miss an A in the third word?

ETA: @PlaceboTarget, jinx!

Sorry, there is no jinx where I come from.

Heh. Anyway, you owe me a Coke.

I’ll change my request to an S.

I / H A D / R E ___ ___ H E D / T H E / A ___ E / ___ F / ___ I ___ / H ___ N D R E D / A N D / F I F T ___ / ___ I ___ E ___ .

Is this the first simulpost on the new board? And, yes, I did miss that. Thanks! Oddly enough, just this afternoon, I was thinking of the old “Pepsi Cola Stop” game.

I / H A D / R E A ___ H E D / T H E / A ___ E / ___ F / ___ I ___ / H ___ N D R E D / A N D / F I F T ___ / ___ I ___ E ___ .

Pepsi Cola is the way I learned that one. Which is funny because most of my family prefers Coca-Cola.

I / H A D / R E A ___ H E D / T H E / A ___ E / ___ F / S I ___ / H ___ N D R E D / A N D / F I F T ___ / ___ I ___ E S .

I just can’t get that last word. Anyway, O.

Have there been any misses yet?

I say “L”

I don’t think so. This sentence uses all the most common letters in English – ETAOINSHRDLU.

I will guess C. Let’s see what happens.
