Disagree-- The film unfortunately revived the pretty much dead Klan at the time, but that was not Griffith’s intent in making it. He thought he was making a movie about history. He was short-sighted and wrong, but not a propagandist for the Klan.

Whether Griffith intended it is irrelevant, IMHO. Accidental propaganda is still propaganda. But that’s a discussion for another thread. I do appreciate your point of view.
