If you’re talking about Jim Greer, he was more than just connected to Crist. Crist picked him for the job. There’s some stuff coming out now that could really hurt Windsock come 2014 (assuming he gets the Dem nod). Like perjury and using the GOP to try to submarine Rubio.
I was. Didn’t know that; I figured his appointees would have been moderates.
For what it’s worth, I have no idea what kind of stance Greer had on social/economic policy. He was pretty open about being all GOP all the time (permanent majority type stuff), but there are some moderate Republicans left and he may very well have been one of them. Greer was however, extremely…liberal in his development of ways to make Greer more money. 
I’m 2 degrees of separation away from the guy behind all of this (Anadarko OK is a pretty small town) and am watching it very closely. I’m curious to see if the Feds or State prosecutors will go after Burns to get to Carroll or the other way around. Which is the bigger trophy, the man behind the curtain or the politician out front?
