Flash mob do's and dont's

I want to be in a flash mob. Bad. I saw a movie recently that had 2 flash mobs in it (sorry, won’t divulge but it was a semi-decent movie made for the 20s crowd and I’m in my 50s so some of it whooshed right by me).

I live in Palm Springs. I don’t think we have flash mobs here or anywhere nearby. I am willing to go to LA or San Diego or Orange County.

How do I find out where, when, what, etc.? I’m a terrible dancer. Is that a problem? Can I start an impromptu flash mob at the Weezer concert that I’m going to this Saturday night?

I recommend starting with some already established groups, like ImprovEverywhere or BanditosMisteriosos. I’ve done a few with the latter and they were great fun. Sadly they are only based in Boston.

Anyway, a few short tips:

Do: Follow the leader’s instructions

Don’t: Take of all your top and run around like a loon.
