Flashpoint: Collateral Damage, 5/6/11. Music at end?

I just finished watching the “Collateral Damage” episode of Flashpoint. At the end of the show, there was a melodic but haunting song. Does anyone know the name, song writer, or artist of that song?

It kind of reminded me of Imogen Heap, but I kept vacillating whether it was her or not.

Thanks for your help,
J.

p.s., I did google it, but couldn’t find a listing of the music from the episode anywhere.

It’s called Weightless by Courtney Jones. I think it may have been used in Twilight also? Could be wrong on that. You can find a video on youtube called Weightless- twilight to hear the song in full. Thought it was Imogene Heap also! Sounds amazingly like her.

Even after hearing Weightless, I still would swear I hear Imogen (Yes, this is the correct spelling. ) Heap in there. I found a reference in Courtney Jones’ information to unspecified “others” on the song, but nothing specific. On the other hand Courtney is an Indie artist from Portland and Imogen is from London, so maybe a collaboration isn’t so likely.

One reason I was so sure Imogen Heap was singing was this song’s similarity to “Hide and Seek” by Ms. Heap. That was the song that attracted me to her. I hate to use the same word again, but “haunting” just really hits the “nose on the head” for me. And coincidentally, the first time I heard Hide and Seek was as the final song on another TV show, the first episode of a short-lived crime family story called “The Smiths” (Ray Liotta, Virginia Madsen).

And wouldncha know it, hereis a mashup Weightless and Hide and Seek. I can’t really tell where one or the other starts they sound so similar.

I just wanted to let you know of all the info I found on Courtney Jones.

Simple enough, her website is: www.courtneyjonesmusic.com

Also, her Facebook page is:

And this song is on the album Awake & Dreaming by Courtney Jones.

Also, here is her Youtube Channel:

I hope this helps you obtain the CD in some way.

I am a huge fan of both Imogen Heap and Courtney Jones.

I have all of Imogen’s albums, and only this one from Courtney Jones.

Thanks to the person who gave Courtney’s website I found the song on iTunes; it is .99 if you wish to purchase it. I listened and replayed the song from the show (I recorded it) and it is it.
