Pervasive (and, I would add, often unconscious) submission to Marxist ideology
A sense of powerlessness, the active embrace of which both confers the mantle of the virtuous downtrodden, and simultaneously abdicates any duty to behave in a politically responsible manner
The tendency to blame America first; to equate America with Imperialism, and any and all anti-Americanism with virtuous revolutionary effort on the part of The Oppressed
A refusal to criticize foreign political atrocities, on the grounds that The Privileged have no right to condemn The Underprivileged
Speaking as a liberal, I will not rest until the criminals are freed to live on welfare checks and molest our children, their civil rights safely intact.
Well, Marxist has some negative connotations, sure, but it doesn’t have that good ring to it. If you really want to get 'em angry, you gotta go for something like “pinko”, or 'long-haired commie hippie fags" and such.
“Marxist” just sounds like a citizen of Freedonia, or some lame insult like that.
ever try to maintain a good crack habit on welfare? you forgot to specifically decriminalize burglary, theft, bad checks, shoplifting, robbery (armed and unarmed) etc, as long as the person had a good reason to commit the alledged crime, or had been punhished as a child, had not enough Twinkies or too many (known as the Twinkie slide rule defense), or was denied an appearance on Jerry Springer.
Hey hey, some of us long-haired hippies are right-wing, dontchaknow Goddam pinkos soil all us scruffy tree-hugging psychedelica-listening hitchhiking organic-gardening druggie serene types by association.
The OP does sum up the views of quite a few liberals, unfortunately. Not you articulate board-roaming types, but way too many.
