Flight of the Conchords - What's Bret eating?

I have recently discovered the delight that is “Flight of the Conchords.” Besides the songs, my favorite parts are their conversations with Murray and Dave. (“I know. It’s creepy. I think they make them on the computer.”)

I have a question, though, about the opening title sequence. There is a series of shots in which Jemaine and Bret are sitting at their kitchen table eating. At one point, Bret seems to be chowing down on a huge piece of pita bread stuffed with about a dozen eggs’ worth of scrambled eggs. Is he really eating a boatload of scrambled eggs? Eggs are among my most favorite foods, but that sure looks like a lot of eggs.

What’s up with that?

I’m not totally sure what it is, but I think that is shredded cheese, not eggs. I just YouTubed it and it looks like Jemaine is eating an egg salad sandwich in the same scene, and whatever Bret is eating looks…oranger.

This is one of my favorite new shows too. Unfortunately here in Canada we haven’t got the new season yet. Sigh.
