After seeing the movie about this guy… the indecent exposure charge was nothing.

I heard on public radio today that there was a question whether the indecent exposure ever happened at all. What?
Maybe my memory is faulty, but I could swear that I’ve seen photos of it somewhere and also talked to people online who claim they witnessed it.
Now I’m curious. Was he set up and defamed? How could that have happened if hundreds of people were at the concert? Or was the announcer deluded? Wouldn’t expect that from public radio.
My opinion is, if the incident actually happened, let it be for the sake of honesty. Don’t mess with people’s legacies. After all, IIRC, the whole idea was to disgust “proper” society.
Or is it that society has changed so much that we want to send a message that public exposure will soon be acceptable?
What’s the deal?
