Flying aborted fetuses at lunch time.

Really? Is this really going to sway anyone’s opinion?

I was walking home for lunch (3 blocks between home and work for me). Happy-go-lucky and I see a plane flying over the state capitol building. Trailing behind this plane is a BIG PICTURE OF AN ABORTED FETUS next to a dime. The streamer behind this says “10 Week old aborted fetus 1-888-XXX-XXXX”

My spaghetti and garlic bread lunch that I was so looking forward to eating had to be substituted for some non-red food. Fuckers. I guess it did sway my dining options.

“Look! Up the air!” “It’s a bird!” “It’s a plane!”

. . . so, did you call the number and ask for your aborted fetus?

I must say that the title sort of misled me, as I was expecting something like a food fight. Except with fetuses.

If found, please return to…

Me too, only this fetus was a bat kite with the umbilical cord as the tai… ummm… nevermind.

So, what do you think it was saying? That an aborted fetus is only the size of a dime, so who cares if you abort it? Or, OMFG IT’S AS BIG AS A DIME! KEEP IT KEEP IT!

How strange.

Maybe they were having a sale. “Aborted fetuses—only a dime!”

What do they do with aborted fetuses? I imagine you need high security, the prank potential for those puppies is rather high. I was at a BBQ ribs festival and there was a anti-abortion rally nearby. I was tempted to yell out the window “Hey, don’t blame the abortionists! Where do you think the ribs come from?” I told my dad this and he laughed and gagged at the same time.

Okay, I don’t get it. Is the phone number for an abortion clinic, a pro-life organization, or did Eric Cartman find some more aborted fetuses he wants to sell?

[Eric Cartman]

Come on, you’re breakin’ my balls here.

[/Eric Cartman]

It sounds more like a pro-choice than a pro-life banner to me. Usually, the pro-lifers depict fetuses as fully developed babies, while the pro-choicers depict them as wild animal embryos the size of a dime.

Ah yes, the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform. Here is a picture of the plane and the banner (warning: bloody graphic photos):

They are in Minneapolis/St. Paul right now, have been for about a week. Not sure how much longer they are staying. They have also brought their trucks. Several of these turned in front of me last week when I was driving in the car with my four year old. (again, graphic bloody fetus photos):

With ya, stpauler. I find those tactics, along with the billboards and the “rolling billboards” to be utterly reprehensible and vile.

I don’t need to see it to know what abortion means. And if my son ever has to see that shit, I’ll be hard-pressed to keep my hands to myself.

But if people only knew how graphic and disgusting abortions are, they’d never ever have one.

Or something like that.

Oh, okay, I see what you mean.

I saw it when I was coming home last night, while I was crossing the Ford bridge. It was too far away for me to see what exactly it was, so my brain just said “feh. Really big Pepsi banner towed by really small plane”.

Pepsi. Heh. Voice of the new generation.

I was hanging at the neighbors house when he brought it up. He had seen the truck while his 7 and 9 year old were in the car.

It’s obscene, and I wish the Saint Paul police would arrest those folks. Free speech is one thing, subjecting our children to graphic violence openly in public is another.

I have an ultrasound picture of my baby at six weeks. It looks nothing like a fully developed baby. It looks like a cheeto. Four weeks could not make that much of a difference.

You can’t do that, cause then they’ll cry about how their free speech is being violated and all.

I’m pro-life and even I think they’re going about it the wrong way.

“Flying Aborted Fetuses” would…

errr, in other news, I think they should impose a special road tax on those that use the highways for advertisements. Assuming, of course, that on the average the gasoline and tag revenue is not enough to cover highway maintenance, which I’m nearly sure it’s not.

After all not only are they creating a potential traffic hazard due to people looking at the advertisement, they are also taking away my highway dollars in the form of excessive wear on the roads, need for better traffic flow, and pollution that is not paid back by their contributions from gas tax!

However, the abortion ones are much rarer as well as oddly enough less of a distraction to me by way of being more disgusting and thus less attractive than other advertisements, but the same paradigm holds in my mind. Tax the hell outta the bastards.

Exactly how I felt after having my appendix out. I was okay until I saw graphic, disgusting footage of my appendiix being removed. I’m never doing that again, I tell ya.
