My mum only likes playing backgammon on Yahoo! Games. She has XP, though the following screenshot is from my PC running Windows 7.
She has refused for quite some to upgrade from the Java Virtual Machine by Microsoft (yes, that old thing…) because it screwed up the font on the lobby in her Yahoo Games:
See “1 point match. Rated?” That used to be about the same size as the user names. Now it is not. It is much smaller, to the point where I can barely read it, and she can’t. She whines incessantly about it, now that Yahoo would not load on her computer unless she finally broke down and updated from the MS-JVM.
So, it would seem she is stuck with this tiny font. I tried changing screen resolution, forcing IE to ignore a website’s font sizing, but neither of these had any effect on the content inside the java applet.
Is there any possible remedy/tweak to fix this problem? I told my mum to find a new site to play backgammon on, but she’s far too stubborn…:rolleyes:
