Berryclear Sprite Remix. I loved that stuff, why’d they take it away?
La Choy frozen mini egg rolls. They were just like Pizza Rolls, but filled with cabbage and pork or shrimp.
Sierra Mist used to have a seasonal cranberry soda that we absolutely loved! Lots of folks did - if you didn’t buy it as soon as it came out, you missed it. But a couple of years ago, they quit making it. Dammit.
They have Jolt Cola at Dollar General.
Chipwich Eggnog. I miss it. It was the only Eggnog I really liked.
Hersey’s Kissables. Tiny kiss shaped M&Ms that were better than M&Ms.
About 30 years ago, both Roy Rogers and Kenny Rogers Roasters sold these amazing roasted chicken dinners with baked potatoes and (I think, but this could be a false memory) stuffing. They were discontinued for something other than lack of popularity. I’m guessing both were promotions to get people in stores where they could later be hooked on something a lot cheaper to make in mass quantities, but now I’m just speculating. Boston Market sold essentially the same meal for twice as much a few years later.
This year Sprite has a cranberry spice flavor that’s pretty good. I’ve seen it in 2 liter and mini can sizes.
Mountain Dew had some sort of berry flavor some years ago - it was a gorgeous lavender color and very tasty.
Those Pillsbury astronaut snack sticks. We loved them.
Chocolites!
Shake-a Pudd’n. Yum!
McDonald’s Cheddar Melt. I don’t know if it could live up to my early 90s memories of it, but god damn did I love that burger as a kid.
Cracklin’ Oat Bran cereal.
Mocha Oreos.
Entenmann’s Fudge-Iced Cream-Filled Cupcakes. Also their Chocolate-frosted crullers.
Nestle Crunch Mocha.
Fortified Oat Flakes
Stax (cereal)
I was going to say Zero Bars but it seems they still make them. I haven’t seen one in 40+ years.
O’Grady’s Au Gratin potato chips.
Entenmann’s apple strudel. I was really upset to discover they no longer make this.
Old Tyme Jamaican Naturally Flavoured Ginger Beer
Probably not the same, but there’s this if you can find a British export shop/aisle:
Well, one think I really used to like is Pig Iron cola. They still make it, but the place I used to get it from doesn’t carry it anymore. In fact, none of the places I used to get it from carry it. Along a similar vein, I really liked IBC cherry cola (not Black Cherry). As far as I know, they don’t make this at all anymore…certainly none of the places I got it from in the past carry it.
As for food, I really used to like a fast food place called Roy Rogers. They had really good roast beef sandwiches. Sadly, they are long gone, only a memory. Based on other fast food places that still exist today, it probably wouldn’t be the same anyway, but that was one of my favorite places when I was younger.
Well, I wasn’t a kid, because this was 2003-2005-ish(?), but Goldfish Crisps were excellent. Sort of a big, flat goldfish that was a cross between a Better Cheddar and a Goldfish cracker. Deelicious.
Carnation Instant Breakfast Bars. I’m talking about the ones they had in the late 70s.
The original Doritos flavors. It wasn’t long ago that I allowed myself to get duped into buying a bag or “original taco flavor”, complete with vintage packaging, only to be disappointed by a mouthful of chemical toppings of indeterminate taste. Well, that’s not exactly true; I could definitely identify the salt.
Red Baron single slice pizza.
