Food Network's Chefography

There’s what, like 10 shows set to air and Alton Brown doesn’t have one? That would be the only one I’d bother watching.

Okay, not completely true. I couldn’t help but watch the Paula Deen show, and the SO and I will sit down for Batali…but still. No Alton? It seems wrong, but maybe he didn’t want one.

I thought this thread had a point, I guess its just a very small rant. :stuck_out_tongue:

ehhhhhhh, I saw one as I was passing through the channels, read the description and passed on.

It just seems like one more step on the path away from food, and toward manufactured celebrity, which seems to be their goal.

I know these have played the past few nights, but didn’t know exactly which FN personality had a show.

Last year, they had only 4 on, I think: Emeril, Paula, Giada, and…yikes…who was it? Oh, Ina.

So, I saw they’d obviously expanded, and was thinking I might play w/ my mind a bit and make myself watch some of the Sandra Lee one…perhaps pretend I’m in MST3k?? I’m also sure cocktails would have to be involved somewhere!

I can’t imagine w/ who they DID do them on, that they’d exclude Alton, but…now I wonder if he didn’t want it? Does anyone know anything about his personal life, actually? I’ve learned more than I really want to from alot of the other personalities.

Watched part of Sandra Lee’s and comparing her younger pics with today - it’s obvious her food is not the only things that are semi-homemade. The nice rack (and I’m not talking lamb) is a fairly recent addition…

We watched Bobby Flay and Nigella Lawson. Both very interested people! I really enjoyed their shows.

The only other ones that I would be inerested are Alton Brown and Masaharu Morimoto.

I haven’t seen Bobby’s yet, but did catch some of Nigella’s last night, and then watched Mario tonight.

I was saddened and amazed at the amount of tragedy that Nigella has experienced in her life. She seems to be able to bounce back and move forward well, considering what she’s dealt w/.

I know I can’t handle a whole hour of Giada grinning through her teeth, nor listen to Ina’s fake “above the salt” laugh, so will have to hold out for the comic appeal of the Sandra Lee show…yikes.
